Questions and answers.
The things people ask us most — about homes, outbuildings, businesses, and us.
Can you heat and cool my garage workshop?
Yes. A single ductless heat pump is usually the best answer: it heats and cools, runs quietly and has its own controls. Insulating the walls, ceiling and door first makes a big difference.
Can I just extend the house ducts into the garage?
No. Building codes do not allow a house system to draw air from an attached garage, because of exhaust fumes and fuel vapours. A garage gets its own system.
Do ADUs need their own system?
Usually, yes. An ADU needs a permit and has to meet the energy code like any home. Ductless heads or a small heat pump are the common choices.
Do you work in warehouses and light-industrial units?
Yes, on the offices, break rooms and control rooms inside them, and on rooftop and split systems for shops and offices.
Do you give a price before starting?
Always. We explain what we found and give you a written price before any work begins.
Is CrystalLayer a painting or finishing company?
No. Finishes is part of our name. CrystalLayer does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only.
Which areas do you cover?
Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Montclair, Pomona, Eastvale, Norco and Jurupa Valley.
